WHO: Motivated Forward Party volunteers

WHAT: Manning a table and talking to people at Frederick In-The-Streets

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 at 10:00am

WHERE: Market Street and/or Carroll Creek Linear Park, Frederick, MD

WHY: To collect signatures to make Forward an officially recognized political party in Maryland, and to let our fellow Marylanders know who we are and what we stand for.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: NONE! WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING EXPERIENCE! (apologies to Cheech and Chong). Our message really resonates with people and it's really easy to talk to them.

We will have a table and tent set up somewhere along the route - we will know exactly where later. Setup will begin at 10:00am, and the festival begins at 11:00am. The event lasts until 5:00pm, and then break down until 6:00pm. Volunteers are free to stay for either all or part of it. At the end we will do a debrief and perhaps get a beer together at one of Frederick’s excellent breweries or the Up-The-Creek Party.

We will give you access to the Go app to log information for people who sign our petition. We recommend you bring a water bottle and backup power for your phone. You can also pack a lunch if you would like, but there will also be plenty of food vendors at and near the event. We will bring some donuts and snacks in the morning, as well.

Parking: There are several parking garages nearby. The closest ones are the Carroll Creek Garage (44 E Patrick St), the East All Saints Street Garage (125 E All Saints St), and the Court Street Garage (2 S Court St).
