On December 18, 2025 Governor Moore authorized the State to proceed with off-cycle Congressional Redistricting. This is highly unusual and poses a serious risk to Maryland's democracy. Our State is already among the top 5 worst gerrymandered states in the Country and these midcycle changes will likely make it worse.

Maryland Forward Party opposes these actions.  We have issued a formal statement in opposition and have also provided testimony to the Governor review commission.

Governor Moore has since asked, for organizations to submit proposed redistricting map recommendations by January 1 2026, and with your feedback, we hope to work towards a map that is truly fair and equitable for all Maryland Voters.
