Forward prioritizes the voices of community members not party leaders. By sharing your thoughts with us, we can get a clearer understanding of what is most important in each community.

Legislative Actions

Maryland Forward Party is and will continue to advocate for our legislative priorities. Through education, collaboration, and partnerships we hope to bring positive reforms to our communities to encourage bottom-up governance and to better support local priorities.

Coalition Building

Maryland Forward Party believes in team work. We are working with other organizations, political parties, non-profits and community groups to target positive change. Together we can influence, educate and advocate for legislative reform.

Ranked Choice Voting Coalition
Ranked Choice Voting Coalition

The non-profit organization RCV MD is spearheading a statewide effort to support ranked choice voting, a voting reform measure that would empower voters with more choice. Our work to support RCV MD includes outreach, education, and lobbying to support consideration and adoption of ranked choice voting for local, county and statewide elections.

Currently 25% of the state legislature initially bypassed elections, through the appointment process. This legislative loophole is sidestepping our democratic procedures and allowing the legacy political parties to maintain political dominance in Annapolis. This new coalition hopes to educate voters and build support for legislative action to close this loophole and ensure Maryland voters decide who serves in office.

Maryland Forward Party is proud to support candidates and elected officials who commit to bottom-up collaborative problem-solving and protecting the inherent rights of all people.
