As a civil engineer, attorney, former County Councilmember, and mom, Jessica has seen firsthand how decisions made in government affect families and businesses in our community. In her time on the County Council, she passed more bipartisan legislation than any other Councilmember - so she knows people can work across party lines to get things done, and she believes our district deserves a senator who is approachable, responsive, and willing to listen.

She's running for State Senate because she believes public service should be about finding proactive, practical solutions to community issues. Families are struggling with high energy costs and the need for safer roads, modern infrastructure, and more transparent budgets.

Policy Objectives

• Affordability: Maryland families are feeling the pressure of rising costs. I will fight for responsible budgeting and policies that lower costs and give families more room to thrive.

• Economic Opportunity: Maryland should be a place where small businesses can grow, entrepreneurs can succeed, and families can build a future. I will work to improve Maryland’s business climate, reduce unnecessary barriers, and support the job creators who make our communities stronger.

• Protect Ratepayers and Strengthen the Electric Grid: Oppose policies that drive up electricity bills, promote reliable, sustainable energy infrastructure, and ensure Maryland’s energy needs are met without placing additional burdens on families. 

• Transparency and Responsiveness: Government should work for the people it serves. I will make accountability and responsiveness hallmarks of my service, listening to constituents, returning calls, explaining decisions, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly.
